We attach great importance to providing an equal and accessible service to the whole public, including people with disabilities. This page sets out the adjustments made to the website and at the office, the known limitations, and how to contact us on any accessibility matter.
The office's commitment to accessibility
Amos Ilan Notary Office, the office of Advocate and Notary Amos Ilan, works to make the website and the services provided through it accessible, in the belief that accessibility is part of the service itself and not an addition to it. Accessibility is implemented in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.
Accessibility level of the website
The website has been made accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines published by the W3C, at conformance level AA.
Adjustments made to the website
- A sound semantic structure: a heading hierarchy, marked navigation regions and a link to skip directly to the content
- Full support for keyboard navigation, including a clear indication of the element in focus
- Support for screen readers, including text alternatives for images and labels for form fields
- Contrast ratios between text and background that meet the requirements of the standard
- No reliance on colour alone to convey information
- Adaptation for viewing on mobile devices and at increased zoom, without loss of content or functionality
- Respect for the user's operating-system preference for reduced motion and animation
- Live text that can be enlarged, rather than images of text
- A consistent light display on all devices, even when the device is set to dark mode, in order to preserve the contrast ratios that were tested
The website's accessibility tool
An accessibility button in the corner of the screen opens a menu of personal adjustments. The menu is also accessible by keyboard, and the settings are saved in the browser and apply across all pages of the website. The menu offers:
- Increasing and decreasing the text size
- High-contrast mode
- Highlighting of links
- A readable font
- An enlarged mouse cursor
- Stopping animations and transitions
- Resetting all adjustments
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. The limitations known to us are:
- Third-party documents or files linked from the website, including legislation and the texts of regulations published on the authorities' websites, are not under our control and may not be fully accessible
- Embedded external content, where present, is subject to the accessibility level of the provider that operates it
- New content may not yet have undergone a full accessibility review
We work continuously to remedy these limitations. If you come across an element that is not accessible, please let us know and it will be corrected as soon as possible.
Accessibility of the office
The office is located at 17 Tzahal Street, Ness Ziona. The adjustments available there are:
- Parking near the office
- The service can be provided on the entrance floor
- The entrance is wide enough for a wide wheelchair
- Accessible toilets
- There is no assistive listening system on the premises. A suitable adjustment can be arranged in advance
In addition, much of the notarial service can be provided remotely: certified translation, receipt of documents by email or WhatsApp, and telephone and video calls. Anyone for whom attending in person is difficult can receive a large part of the service without coming to the office. Please note that certain services, above all the authentication of a signature, require by law that you appear in person and be identified before the notary.
