Notary for Rehovot residents
Looking for a notary in Rehovot? The office is at 17 Tzahal Street, Ness Ziona, about 5 km from the Rehovot Mall in the city centre. Most translation certificates can be obtained without coming to the office.
Academic certificates for jobs and studies abroad
Rehovot is home to the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Hebrew University's Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, and the city has a large community of students and researchers. Anyone applying for a position, a fellowship or studies abroad is usually asked for a certified translation of their degree certificate, transcript or confirmation of studies.
Translations are made from Hebrew into English and from English into Hebrew. The fee is based on the number of words, so it is worth sending a scan in advance and receiving an exact fee before work begins. You can also work it out yourself with the notary fee calculator.
When the foreign authority requires an apostille
An apostille on a notarial certificate is issued at the Magistrates' Court, on the original certificate. Whether one is required is decided by the authority to which the document is submitted, so it is worth checking with them in advance. You may go to the court yourself, or ask us to handle it for you: NIS 250 plus VAT, in addition to the court fee, with the document delivered to your door in central Israel.
Services that require attendance in person
Authentication of a signature on a power of attorney, an affidavit or a document for a body abroad, a will made before a notary, a prenuptial agreement and a life certificate for a pension from abroad all require attendance in person with an identity document. The office is about a quarter of an hour from Rehovot City Hall, and there is parking near the office.
Construction defects and condominiums
For apartment owners in Rehovot, the office also handles construction defect claims against contractors and developers, and condominium disputes before the Superintendent of Land Registration.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring the original certificate for translation?
Not necessarily. A translation can be made from a photocopy or from a digitally signed document. The original is needed only if the certificate is to state that the original was presented to the notary.
Can I receive the certificate in English and Hebrew together?
The notarial certificate is attached to the translation and certifies its correctness. If the body abroad requires particular wording, send it together with the document and we will look into it.
