Certified Translation of Company Documents
An Israeli company that opens a bank account abroad, registers with a foreign supplier or takes part in an international tender must present its corporate documents in English: the certificate of incorporation, the company extract, the authorised dealer (VAT) certificate and, sometimes, minutes appointing authorised signatories.
When is a certified translation of company documents needed?
- Opening a bank account or a merchant account abroad.
- Registering as a supplier with a foreign company.
- Setting up a subsidiary or a branch abroad.
- International tenders and contracts.
An up-to-date company extract
A company extract from the Registrar of Companies reflects the position on the day it is issued. Bodies abroad usually ask for a recently issued extract, so it is advisable to obtain a fresh extract shortly before the translation.
Authorised signatories
When the company's director signs documents abroad on the company's behalf, a notarial certificate as to the authorised signatories is sometimes required as well. This can be done in the same file, together with the translation.
How it works
Send the document
Send a scan or a clear photograph by WhatsApp or email, and receive a quote based on the word count.
We translate and check the names
The translation must be faithful to the original document, and it is important to check the spelling of names against the passports, so that it matches the other documents.
The notary certifies and signs
The notarial certificate is signed and bound together with the copy of the document and the translation.
Apostille, if required
If the destination country is party to the Hague Convention, an apostille is added where required (please confirm this with the body requesting the document).

The translation fee is based on the number of words in the translation, under the notarial tariff fixed by regulation, and it is the same at every notary in Israel. For an exact calculation by word count, see the certified translation fee calculator, and for the full tariff, the fees page.

Questions and answers
Can a certificate of incorporation that already has an English version be translated?
Many certificates of incorporation are also issued in English. If you have such a version, a certified true copy is usually sufficient.
How long does it take?
A single document is usually ready within one business day, sometimes on the same day. If an apostille is required on the notarial certificate, it is obtained at the court, usually within one business day, by courier.
Need an apostille?
It depends on the destination country. In countries party to the Hague Convention, usually yes. It is best to confirm this with the body requesting the certificate.
