Notary for Tel Aviv-Yafo Residents
Looking for a notary in Tel Aviv-Yafo? Certified translation can be obtained remotely, without coming in: you send a scan and receive the certificate. For signatures, such as signature authentication or a power of attorney, you come to the office in Ness Ziona once.
Documents for an embassy or consulate
Most of the embassies and consulates in Israel are in and around Tel Aviv, so residents of the city often face a consulate's demand for a certified document. Before you start, ask the mission for its list of requirements in writing: whether a translation is needed and into which language, whether an apostille is needed, and whether it accepts a digital document. A country that is not party to the Apostille Convention requires a different route, explained on the apostille page.
Companies and businesses
A company dealing with a body abroad is sometimes required to provide a translated certificate of incorporation, confirmation of its authorised signatories or a notarial power of attorney. Most of the documents can be prepared in advance, so that signing before the notary takes a single appointment. Details on the company documents translation page.
Remote service
Certified translation from Hebrew into English and from English into Hebrew does not require you to come in. You send a scan by WhatsApp, receive a price under the regulations, and the signed certificate is sent to you.

Frequently asked questions
The consulate requires a "notarial translation". Is a translation into English enough?
It depends on the consulate. Some missions accept a translation into English, while others require the language of their country. The office translates between Hebrew and English only, so check in advance what the consulate requires.
The consulate asks for a certified copy of my passport. Can a notary certify it?
Yes. This is a certification that a copy is a true copy of the original. You bring the original passport, and the notary certifies that the copy is identical to it.
