Certified translation of professional documents
Building plan regulations, an engineering opinion, a technical specification or a laboratory report are written in professional language, with terms, units and abbreviations. In a certified translation of such a document every term must be carried over precisely, so that the reader abroad understands the document as its author intended.
When a certified translation of professional documents is needed
A certified translation of professional documents is needed when an engineering or technical document, such as a plan, regulations, an expert opinion or a specification, is submitted to a body abroad, when medical documents and laboratory tests are required for treatment, insurance or proceedings abroad, and when a professional opinion is used in legal proceedings or arbitration outside Israel.
- Engineering and technical documents: plans, regulations, expert opinions and specifications.
- Laboratory tests and medical documents for treatment, insurance or proceedings abroad.
- Expert opinions for legal proceedings, arbitration or an insurance claim outside Israel.
- Professional documents in English required in Hebrew by an Israeli authority or court.
Terms, units and abbreviations
A professional document is translated using the accepted terminology of the field, not word for word. Values, units and reference ranges are copied exactly as they are, and accepted abbreviations, such as the names of laboratory tests, keep their usual English form.
What is illegible in the original
Old or scanned documents sometimes contain handwriting, stamps or passages that cannot be read. The translation does not fill them in by guesswork: square brackets indicate what appears in the original, for example [handwritten] or [illegible], as can be seen in the example on this page.
How it works
Send a scan or a clear photograph by WhatsApp or email and receive a quote based on the word count. After translation and checking the names against the passports, the notary certifies and binds the certificate together with the copy of the document and the translation, and if the destination country is party to the Hague Convention, an apostille is added where required.

We translate and check the names
The translation must be faithful to the original document, and it is important to check the spelling of names against the passports, so that it matches the other documents.
The notary certifies and signs
The notarial certificate is signed and bound together with the copy of the document and the translation.
Apostille, if required
If the destination country is party to the Hague Convention, an apostille is added where required (please confirm this with the body requesting the document).
